I am challenging myself throughout this month to be even more creative, and have Creative Sundays with Susn. This Sunday I did a shoot I have been wanting to do for a while, a candy shoot. I enjoy the whole process of being the creative director, the makeup artist, the stylist, the photographer, the model and the editor.
I usually find inspiration through Pinterest and other photographers on instagram and then I put my own flare to it. I always have an image in my head, but it is always helpful to either draw it out or to find similar images online. All you have to do these days is put in your keywords and you have a waterfall of inspiration right at your fingertips. One thing I have learned is that no matter how much you plan a shoot or a look, it will always end up a little bit different. And that is a good thing. Imitation is the best compliment but copying is far from it.
These were some of my moodboard photos:
And these are the final images :
As you can see, I went for a more subtle look. But I actually love how they turned out. It was a really fun look to do and I will probably do it again at some point. I mean I got the cake sprinkles to last me a decade.
Reklame// I was also able to test my new lashes from sirenlashes, which pulled this look together even more with the dramatic eyes. I don’t usually wear fake lashes but these were really good. Check out her page and use the code ‘DYBVIK15’ if you would like to try them out yourself!
